The Preschool/School Age room serves 20 children
The preschool years are the imagination years.  Our preschool program’s goal is to promote a feeling of competence and confidence with your child, in addition to building on the skills learned in the younger programs.  We will talk with your child, listen to what he or she says, and show that everyone’s opinion matters.  Choices are given to your child to promote a sense of importance and support the decision making process.

Daily Schedule- Preschool/School Age

6:00am-8:00am: arrival and activities
(These activities may include: table activities such as puzzles, drawing, cutting, manipulative toys, books, story tapes)
8:00am-8:15am: get ready for breakfast
(put away toys, wash hands)
8:15am-8:45am: Breakfast
8:45am-9:15am: free play, bathroom break
9:15am-9:45am: Calendar
9:45am-10:00am: Group time (songs, books, introduce theme)
10:00am-10:25am: stations
10:00am-10:25am: Art time
(stations and art time will be going at the same time)
10:25am-11:15am:  Large Muscle/outside play
11:15am-11:30am: Clean up, wash hands, and get
ready for lunch
11:30am-12:00pm: Lunch Time
12:00pm-12:15pm: Clean up, bathroom break
12:15pm-2:30pm: Rest time
12:15pm-2:45pm: quiet activities after waking
from nap, bathroom break
2:45pm-3:00pm: wash hands, get ready for snack
3:00pm-3:15pm: Snack
3:15pm-3:45pm: free play
3:30pm-4:00pm: Group time- discuss and review day
4:00pm-5:00pm: Saying good-bye and Outside play
5:00pm-6:30pm: Inside or outside free play
